Safety and important information

Zenimal Kids+ and Zenimal Connect are for ages 3 to 12. Zenimal+ is for ages 12 and up.

Children can press the buttons and listen on their own. An adult should handle charging, setup, memory card changes and the app, and should check the companion and cable now and then for damage.

Every Zenimal has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. It is not user-replaceable. Do not open the companion; there are no serviceable parts inside.

• Charge with the included cable (USB-C for Zenimal Connect, Micro-USB for Zenimal Kids+ and Zenimal+) and a standard 5V USB wall adapter or computer port. A wall plug is not included. Do not use a damaged cable or adapter.
• Charge on a hard, open surface at room temperature. Do not charge under blankets or pillows, in a bed, or in a very cold or very hot place such as a car.
• Do not charge when the companion is colder than 32°F (0°C). Let it warm to room temperature first.
• Unplug once charged. If you leave it plugged in at night, keep the cable and adapter out of reach of young children, and never let a child chew on the cable.
• Stop using it and email us if the shell swells, gets unusually warm, smells unusual, or is cracked or damaged. Never put the companion or battery in fire.

Zenimal is not waterproof. Keep it away from baths, sinks, pools and drinks. If liquid gets inside, stop using it and don't charge it.

The silicone shell comes off and can go in the dishwasher. Wipe the companion itself with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not spray liquid on it or use alcohol, solvents or abrasive cleaners. Let it dry fully before charging.

Use the volume buttons to keep the sound at a comfortable level, especially with earphones. Sleep sounds stop on their own after 60 minutes unless the companion is plugged in. On Zenimal Connect, press both volume buttons together to lock the buttons so settings can't be changed.

No Zenimal has a screen, camera or microphone. Zenimal Kids+ and Zenimal+ work fully offline. Zenimal Connect uses wifi only while a parent loads tracks or records their voice through the app; at bedtime it isn't connected to anything. Zenimal Connect (model ZENCON) was tested by a CPSC-accepted laboratory to the U.S. children's product safety rules: 16 CFR 1500 and 1501 (use and abuse, small parts, sharp points and edges), ASTM F963-23 (including battery-operated toys, flammability, heavy metals and phthalates), the CPSIA limits on lead and phthalates, and CPSIA tracking label requirements. It is FCC certified (FCC ID 2AUDC-ZENCON).

A Children's Product Certificate is on file for each Zenimal companion sold in the U.S. Schools, hospitals and retailers can request a copy at hello@zenimals.com.
